On the problem of oil-and-gas content in Varanger-Timan baikalite belt

In recent years working on the Kola Peninsula in the region of continuation of Timan Riphean structures (Peninsula Rybachiy, Sredniy, island Kildin) we established a high gas presence of the Riphean basement which goes lower into the border limits with a mantle. At the same time in Timan basement we fixed a lot of oil and gas shows including gas fields, so we can speak about its oil and gas potential. We proved that the Upper Devonian Domanic formation has never been source-bed though it includes oil dysodile shales. Special researches of Timan basement UV-gases allowed to reveal the natural excess of nonlimiting UV content in relation to limiting UV along the entire Varanger-Timan belt.
