On some views concerning the origin of the Russian and other languages

In the article various hypotheses concerning the origin of language are considered, thus sufficient attention is paid to the features of the Russian language. The attention is also paid to the work by F.Engels which concerns an ape’s transformation to a human being. It is underlined that labour, language and consciousness have been developing simultaneously and in interaction. From the beginning of the 20th century the views of the Soviet psycholinguistic school developed by L.S. Vygotsky, A.R. Luriya, A.N. Leontev, A.A. Leontev and other scientists are formed.
