The use of modern achievements of scientific and technological progress in the process of conducting a pre-trial investigation has affected the efficiency, saving human resources and money of the state. We believe that this article regarding the possibilities of presenting for identification in a remote format is definitely relevant and appropriate for its consideration (the conditions of the coronavirus pandemic; the possibilities of the Internet industry; the vast territory, the difficulties of arriving from one locality to another). Materials and methods: the materials of the study were the norms of the criminal procedure legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan and a number of foreign states regulating the procedure for presentation for identification; scientific publications of researchers on the topic under study. When writing the article, normative-logical, formal-legal, comparative and other methods were used. The Results of the study: the article analyzes the possibilities of remote presentation for identification; the conditions and features of its conduct are disclosed. The author's position regarding the improvement of legislation in the field of remote presentation for identification is given. Findings and Conclusions: the key point of this article is the author's proposals to expand the list of investigative actions, the conduct of which is advisable, in certain cases, in a remote format.
