The problem of understanding the concept «student academic achievements» in scientic publications is discussed. The content of the concept is analyzed and viewed in the aspects of learner’s success, positive outcome and public approval. Academic achievements are shown as achieved teaching/learning result, manifestation of student’s urge for self-improvement and evidence of learning advance. The content of «student academic achievements» concept is characterized to reveal its links with allied concepts such as «prociency» and «educability», «types of learning activities», «acquisition level» and «literacy».
