On the attempt of introduction of the investigative judge office into the modern criminal procedure legislation: summing up the discussion

The article deals with the problem of introduction of the investigative judge office into the criminal procedure legislation, in order to exercise active judicial control in pre-trial proceedings, but without assuming the prosecution functions. The author comes to the conclusion that most proposals, especially those relating to the preliminary investigation stage, are hard to implement. As a result, the investigating judge has not received its legislative reflection in the criminal procedure law.
