Legal possibilities of mediation in the administrative process of the Republic of Belarus

The article is devoted to the actual problem of protection of rights, freedoms and legitimate interests of citizens and other persons, as nowadays more and more attention is paid to this. In this connection, the article focuses on the extension of the scope of application of the Law of the Republic of Belarus “On Mediation” through the use of mediation in proceedings on administrative offenses. Such a conciliation procedure as mediation would reduce the number of cases dealt with by the court and administrative authorities, and would give individuals greater opportunities to defend their violated rights and interests.
