On recognition of environmental information public under the framework of the environmental protection legislation

Everyone's right to a favorable environment and to information about its condition is enshrined in the Constitution of the Russian Federation. However, before the adoption of amendments to the legislation, this kind of information was often unknown to the population. The article identifies the main problems in the field of providing information on the state of the environment (environmental information), analyzes changes in the legislation on environmental protection, and also determines the practical need for adopting a resolution of the Government of the Russian Federation, which will establish the rules for placing and updating environmental information.
