On the problems of implementing the judicial reform of 1864 in the Caucasus among the Western Circassians

Purpose: the article examines the problem of introducing judicial reform among the peoples of the North-West Caucasus, this topic attracts a wide range of scientists, since in modern conditions there is a process of rethinking many norms of customary law and the importance of the influence of Russian law on these norms. The article used such methods as: the historical and legal method, which allowed us to identify the problems of implementing judicial reform and comparative. As a result of the research, the content and stages of the implementation of judicial reform have been studied. The documents regulating the implementation of judicial reform in the Caucasus in the XIX-XX century are considered and analyzed. The main problems of introducing reforms among Western Circassians are investigated. The relevance of this article is also explained by the growing social interest in the history of the regions and the indigenous inhabitants of the Russian Federation in recent years.
