About the development of diphthongs in Buryat and Bargut languages

The article deals with the process of development of diphthongs and its functioning in Buryat language in comparison with Bargut language. As a result of the comparison it is determined that in Bargut language the process of conversion of diphthongs into monophthongs is not completed and it is still on the stage of development.
