The role of foreign language in the formation of professional competence of police officers

The article highlights the role of a foreign language in the process of formation and development of competences and professional skills of police officers during practice-oriented training. The formation of linguistic culture and the proper use of a foreign language by police officers in real life as the means of professional communication is very important for achieving the main goal of educational institutions of the MIA of Russia - training of competent, responsible police officers, well oriented in related fields of activity, able to work effectively at the level of international standards. The authors emphasize that the efficiency of mastering a foreign language depends not only on the strategy of the student, but also on the strategy of the training. Maximum effect can be achieved in harmony of these strategies. An important factor enhancing the achievement of this goal is the improvement of pedagogical influence of teachers on students and their communication in class under the conditions of full compatibility.
