About the Russian world, Russia and secular humanism (polemical notes)

The polemical notes presented to the reader are a response to the article by Yu. V. Kot and E. L. Kudrina, published in «Vestnik MGUKI» (2024, no. 1). The author enters into polemics with the views expressed in the article, according to which the future of Russia is connected precisely with Orthodox thought. According to the position of the author of the polemical response, Russia, as a multi ethnic and multi religious country, cannot follow the traditions of one confession, but is quite capable of successfully relying on the universal ideas of humanistic ethics, which has absorbed different traditions, including the Orthodox value message.
