About «Measuring the courts of the Volga river» and other laws of the Russian empire in may-month 200 years ago (1822)

A brief overview of the legislative acts adopted in Russia in one month - May 1822, that is, 200 years ago; the number of decrees and other documents was 35 (for comparison - in March 1822 there were 36, in April 1822 - 37). Such an approach to the choice of the object of research, based on a round anniversary date, of course, is reproached to a certain extent, but, nevertheless, it allows a better understanding of the main trends in the historical development of Russian law. The author omits the description of the socio-political and socio-economic situation in the country at that time, since this was done in the author's publications posted in the Scientific Electronic Library at the end of last year. The source of the studied acts is the first Complete collection of laws of the Russian Empire (1649-1825).
