About actual problems of legal regulation of elections to the bodies of state power and local self-government in the Republic of Buryatia

The article presents the characteristics of the legal framework for the conduct of elections in the Republic of Buryatia. The author notes that the development of the electoral system of the Republic of Buryatia is largely determined by federal legislation, the shortcomings of which affect the state and development of electoral relations in the subjects of the Russian Federation, and the effectiveness of the implementation of the tasks facing the regional electoral system also depends on the legal, organizational-technical, material and other conditions. The tasks of creating such conditions are not only in the hands of state bodies and bodies of local self-government, but also political parties, other structures of civil society, and citizens.
