To tackle educational and learning tasks at the English lessons at the institute the following interactive forms are widely employed: “round table”, brainstorm, presentations, discussions, contests of practical works and their discussions, practical group and individual exercises, discussion of special videos, group work with the original manuals and illustrative materials, business and role games. Business game is the means of modelling various conditions of professional activity imitating different aspects of human activity and social interaction. Business game method is a specially organized activity aiming to implement the knowledge gained when studying profile subjects, promote the obtained theoretical knowledge, transform it in the activity-based context, develop communicative competence. The scenario of the role-play “Detectives” presented for discussion is a basic element and the main document for its performing and ensures consideration of nearly all the stages of criminal proceedings. The interactive methods under study presume active participation of every cadet in the learning process and increase the level of professional command of English.
