The use of the didactic potential of electronic publications while studying at a university

The research investigates the topical theoretical and practical issues of higher education related to the modern fixation of professional knowledge gradually transitioning from paper to electronic records as well as relevant problems, merits and demerits of this phenomenon. Nowadays, electronic publications serve as the basic element of e-learning environment, i.e. they have a didactic potential. However, their form, functions, and innovative properties require the elaboration of additional educational technologies to identify this potential and make its best use in the educational process. The author argues that these materials in line with Internet resources increase the range of education at a university. The research analyzes the theoretical assumptions defining the place of a new line in the system of didactic techniques and approaches of higher education science, assesses its opportunities, and provides instructional recommendations for integrating various electronic publications into the educational process.
