Towards the application of NLP systems to foreign language teaching and learning

The paper suggests using linguistic research computer applications for the purpose of teaching and learning foreign languages. It presents a particular tool for the automatic extraction of nominal terminology from texts in the English language, which features intelligent output and computationally attractive properties. The paper demonstrates how the tool can be used by both language teachers and language learners in their class work and self-study.
