On using visualization in teaching English at higher school

The article is an attempt to apply the concept of ‘image' in visualization of the grammatical and lexical phenomena in teaching English to higher school students. The concept of ‘image' in pedagogical, psychological and methodological researches is discussed. Application of image in teaching English to non-language program students is described. The complex structure of the image facilitates the establishment of links between the Russian and English linguistic world images. The quality of students' foreign language learning is improved.
