The article develops an economic and mathematical model of regional closed-loop economy, which will make it possible to assess the impact of application and implementation of the closed-loop economic principles on the environmental and economic indicators of the region, as well as on the economic benefit (profit) of the region as a whole. The model is based on application of the optimization class of problems (linear programming) and is successfully solved by direct methods for solving the linear programming problems, in particular, by the simplex method. It is emphasized that the transition to a closed reproduction process will stimulate labour productivity and reduce the burden on the regional ecosystem. The article analyzes the developed economic and mathematical model. The analysis results have revealed that an increase in the share of recycled resources and a decrease in the share of recycled resource waste can significantly improve the efficiency of resource use in general, which will subsequently lead to an increase in the gross regional product, as well as to restoration of the regional ecosystem.
