The article is devoted to the history of the Kuban Literary Museum, opened in Krasnodar in 1988 in the house of the first Kuban writer Ya. G. Kukharenko. One of the sections of the new museum exposition is dedicated to the life and work of the Kuban writers who participated in the Great Patriotic War. The article focuses on the fate of military correspondents P. K. Inshakov and A. A. Perventsev. The facts of the combat biography of the famous Kuban poet I. F. Varavva are revealed. The materials belonging to them transferred into the museum funds include books, documents, photographs, awards, other personal items. Truly unique is the complex of books discovered among the remains of a torpedo boat and raised to the surface from the bottom of the Kerch Strait by underwater archaeologists of the Krasnodar State Museum-Reserve.
