On the experience of adjusting the mathematical training of first-year students at the faculty of mechanics and mathematics and the faculty of physics (Perm State University)

The article presents the results of an elective course conducted with the aim to adjust the mathematical preparation of first-year students. The analysis of entrance testing of first-year students at the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics and the Faculty of Physics was carried out, the content of the elective course ‘Introduction to Analysis’ was, the influence on the success of training in the discipline ‘Mathematical Analysis 1’ was studied, some recommendations for the organization of classes were given.
