About the experience of studying the western Buryat song folklore by the republican theatre of song and dance "Baikal"

The article is about the possibility of performing the old samples of the western Buryat song folklore. The difficulty of the set task is that the pre-Baikal songs are distinguished by an abundance of melodic ornaments from subtle melisms, which the native speakers of both traditional culture and mother tongue possessed, now passing away. Based on his own memory and auditory experience, the artistic director of the song and dance theater «Baikal» D. Zh. Badluyev makes attempts to revive the authentic manner existed for centuries.
