About the peculiarities of the approach to teaching postgraduate medical students to read medical literature in English

This article is devoted to the identification of lexical and formal structural supports of Latin-Greek etymology in a medical text, which should be the basis for teaching graduate students to understand special medical texts in English. The choice of analysis methods is determined by the specifics of the material under consideration. The proposed article hypothesizes that knowledge of the word-formation elements of the English and Latin languages and the ability to determine the function of the text components will help to understand a special medical text in English. The results of the study lead to the development of problems related to the definition of formal structural pillars of Latin-Greek etymology in a medical text.
