Based on the analysis of official statistics data, the article argues the conclusion about the social danger of illicit trafficking of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances, which today is a massive asocial phenomenon that penetrates into all spheres of our society. At the same time, the author covers some peculiarities of the subject of drug crimes.
