Ensuring the safety of persons subject to state protection as a police function

The article considers the issues of legal regulation of police activity for the state protection of victims, witnesses and other participants in criminal proceedings, judges, prosecutors, investigators, officials of law enforcement and regulatory authorities, as well as other protected persons. It is concluded that state protection is an independent legal institution of police law, in which legal relations of various legal nature are implemented (administrative-law, criminal-law, civil-law, criminal-procedural, operational-search).
