The indicators of chemical and microbiological safety (chemical oxygen demand (COD) and microbiological purity, respectively) of the liquid phase of wheat, corn, barley, and industrial bard are established before and after the isolation of biologically active compounds (BAC). It is shown that the membrane filtration of the liquid phase and its treatment with a three-fold excess of 95% ethyl alcohol, which is the basis of the BAC release, contributes to a significant reduction (3.9 times) of the COD value (from 53500-56000 mg oxygen / dm3 to 13000-15000 mg oxygen / dm3) and microbiological purity indicators: the total number of aerobic bacteria (2.3 times), the total number of fungi (more than 6 times), the total number of enterobacteria (1.8 times). According to these indicators, the processed liquid phase of wheat, corn, barley, millet bard is comparable to similar indicators of environmentally safe industrial effluent, which allows for their discharge into the environment and excludes man-made impact. In addition, the liquid phase of all the studied species of bard can serve as a pharmaceutical raw material for the isolation of BAC.
