The purpose of the article is to draw the attention of scientists and teachers in the field of social and cultural activity to the problem of security in the leisure industry. The article identifies the causes of risks and emergencies in the field of leisure. Due to the complexity of leisure activity and the development of interest in extreme entertainment there is a real threat to human health and life. In recent years, leisure space is highly susceptible to terrorist attacks. Questions of professional training of the organizers of leisure possessing knowledge of creation of safe conditions of activity, including at emergence of emergency situations are brought up. Attention is drawn to the need to carry out educational work among the population to form a culture of security as part of the General and leisure culture.
