Sea buckthorn (Hippophae rhamnoides L.) - a source of bioactive compounds

On the territory of our Republic there are medicinal plants with scientific and practical value, one of these plants is sea buckthorn (Hippophae rhamnoides L.). The literature provides information about the presence of many biologically active substances in the leaves and stems of sea buckthorn. In connection with the above, the study on the scientific and practical justification of the rational use of the above-ground parts of sea buckthorn is relevant. This review article presents the results of modern domestic and foreign research focused on the study of the composition of biologically active substances, pharmacological properties of the fruits and aerial parts of sea buckthorn.
