Color designations in French and Russian as linguistic worldview reflection

The article considers the concept of “linguistic worldview” and the issue of the expression of its specificity in linguistic means included in the same semantic field in different languages. A comparative analysis of color designations in French and Russian has been carried out: “color” adjectives in direct, terminological and figurative meaning as part of free phrases and phraseological units are given. Particular attention is paid to hyponyms, language gaps and translation methods.
