The image of a man and a woman in the media

The article reveals the concept of a gender stereotype and explains its role in society. The cliched images of men and women in the media, namely, in advertising and cinema, are described. The authors analyzed existing articles on similar topics, as well as popular commercials and films. Based on the results of the pilot study, it was concluded what role these media play in shaping perceptions of men and women.
