The article is devoted to the functional description of figurative expression in the phraseological units of Russian and Chinese languages. Metaphor is able to provide re-examination of the knowable through conscious and recorded as the value of a linguistic unit -metaphor for linguistic objective environmental object of conscious vision of reality. Phraseology as one of the «antropoemkih» sections of the linguistics with the language of phrasebook - as mirror, in which the community identifies Lingvokulturnaja their national identity. Proverbs and idioms literally difficult to precisely translate into others languages, because their value is based on the nationally-specific manner. A characteristic feature of phraseology is a «figurative situational motivation, which is directly linked to the worldview of the people - a native speaker, mediastinum cultural connotations, which is its figurative base. Every culture develops its own symbolic language and its image of the world in which his unit gets its value. Shaped spheres attention is drawn to the characters as cultural semantics is mostly symbolic. The symbol can be attributed to the stereotype phenomena characteristic for any culture.
