Figurative words and expressions of the Mansi language (based on folklore and colloquial speech)

This article is devoted to the study and characterization of figurative words and expressions of the Mansi language. The relevance of the undertaken research is determined by Mansi Philology figurative words and expressions was not the subject of a special study. Meanwhile, they occupy an important place in the materials of folklore, used in speech, language enrich the powerful expressive potential. The purpose of this study is the analysis of figurative words and expressions of the Mansi language. To achieve this goal, we solved the following problem: on a material of investigated Mansi fairy-tale lyrics, as well as on the field material collected in communities of Muncie, identify figurative words and expressions, identify their groups and to characterize the data words, expressions, steady turns. Based on the General goals and objectives of the study, in the work we used methods of observation and description, linguistic and cultural studies approach, generalization. Theoretical and methodological basis for the research consists of the works of domestic scientists on problems of language and folklore: A.N. Baldina, E.I. Rombandeeva, V.N. Chernetsov, etc. Theoretical and practical significance of the research lies in the fact that its materials can serve as a basis for theoretical generalizations, can be used in compiling dictionaries of figurative words and expressions of the Mansi language.
