Adult education - realizing personal value throughout life

The article explores the role of adult education as an instrument of personal development and self-actualization in the conditions of modern economy. The key forms of education (professional retraining, self-education) and their impact on career, social activity and quality of life are analyzed. On the basis of statistics and cases the advantages of continuing education, including economic and social benefits, are shown. Factors facilitating and hindering the participation of adults in educational practices are considered. The conclusion emphasizes that adult education is an important value of the individual, allowing to realize his or her potential at every stage of life, and formulates recommendations for the development of a culture of lifelong learning.
