Educational ecosystem as a new paradigm of education of the XXI century

Introduction. Recently discussions about the quality of education have become increasingly acute, because the knowledge and skills acquired in educational institutions will help young people solve everyday problems, as well as become the basis for lifelong learning. Therefore, there is currently an active search for new ways of learning and new organizational forms of education that will correspond to the social, economic and technological reality of the XXI century. Materials and methods of research . The materials of the study were the documents of the UNESCO Institute of Statistics, scientific research of Russian and French scientists, a set of publications on the official websites of electronic versions of French publications. The main methods are analysis, conceptualization, generalization. Historical, genetic and historical-comparative methods were also used. Results of the study . They believe that the ecosystem approach has significant potential for transforming the education system, and educational ecosystems will help to solve some of the key issues of preparing the younger generation for life in a rapidly changing world. The article analyzes the ecosystem approach to education, shows the history of its emergence, presents the main participants of the educational ecosystem. It is emphasized that a significant place in the educational system is occupied by the digital ecosystem, the role of which has grown significantly during the COVID-19 pandemic. The article gives reflections of both Western and Russian specialists on the importance of the ecosystem approach and the creation of educational ecosystems. Discussion of the results of the study . Educational ecosystems raise many questions, such as strategy development, participants and the role of each of them, leadership, management, financing, quality assessment and many others that will definitely arise. The view is expressed that educational ecosystems are full of opportunities to transform the educational process. Conclusion. Currently, the educational ecosystem is considered as a potential paradigm for the organization of education, a condition for its higher quality and a resource for its development.
