The article defines education as a channel of personal social mobility which results in increasing importance of educational quality, professional prestige and demand for certain specialists in the labour market. Studying educational strategies of schoolchildren enables to forecast the process of life strategies formation, on the one hand, and on the other hand, to establish «image» factors guiding the schoolchildren through their professional choice.
