It is said in this article about the importance of the piano in O.Messian's creative work, about the predilections of the composer in the sphere of the piano music. In this article peculiarities of the piano texture of his musical compositions as an example of the cycle «Vingt regards sur l'Enfant Jesus» are depicted: the abundance of sounds is connected with this quality textural thematic realization and multistructure of the musical matter; its colourfulness, spasticity of piano sounding attended by the rhythmical organization. Some innovations in the technique of the mastery performance are emphasized and the analysis of the pianists' methods is also presented in this article.
