General features of term field describing pelvis damage

Subject of article: this paper considers the possibility of using field approach in terms of study and further modelling of a term field. The main subject is considering possible ways of utilizing field approach to a term field as a particular, specialized form of lexical-semantic field. The paper defines a number of points characteristic for both term field and lexical-semantic field. The paper also considers principal features of a term field in general and the term field ‘Pelvis damage’ in particular. The purpose of the work: 1) to show that a term field is a specific kind of a lexical-semantic field; 2) to define basic features of ‘Pelvis damage’ term field. The methodology of the work is comparing structural features of a lexical-semantic field and a term filed. Results of the work - field approach can be used for description and further modelling of term fields of any kind belonging to various subject fields. Scope of results - field approach can be used for further development of the problem of cognitive-communicative analysis and evaluation of students’ professional knowledge in various subject fields. Conclusions: 1) lexical-semantic field has very much in common with term field; 2) full graphical representation of term filed structure is impossible in format of a printed work so advanced methods of computer modelling must be employed; 3) results obtained in this article are applicable for all kinds of term fields.
