The article examines the position of third parties in civil proceedings, their powers and classification provided for by law. In civil procedural law, the institution of a third party has always been relevant. This is due to the fact that the institution of third parties in civil proceedings lays the foundation for protecting the rights and interests of citizens and organizations and ensuring an objective assessment of evidence. The purpose of the study is to reveal the nature of the institution of third parties as an important means of determining the truth when resolving disputes within the framework of civil proceedings and theoretical analysis of the legal status of third parties. The conclusions of the scientific work are recommended for use in the legislative process to improve civil procedural legislation in relation to third parties.
