Social significance of the media institute

The purpose of the research is to study the influence of the media institute on other social institutions and society. An analysis of theoretical concepts related to the mass media institutionalization, the formation of the prerequisites for this process, and the manifestations of the interaction of this institute with others has been carried out to achieve this goal. The importance of this problem is substantiated, key approaches to study are given, and also mechanisms that determine the intensity and results of the mass media influence on changes in society are identified. Based on the results of the study, the author concludes that the existing forms of interaction between social institutions are determined by the mass media institute specifics, which ensures and coordinates this interaction, and that the mass media modify the consciousness of individuals and society as a whole during the implementation of functions.
