Public control over branches and representative offices of international non-governmental organizations in Russia

The present paper aims to investigate the necessity of organization and implementation of public control in the Russian Federation over branches and representative offices of international non-governmental organizations. The work justifies the role and place of the institute of public control in the system of legal guarantees of implementation and protection of both the system of constitutional principles and the entire system of rights, freedoms and legitimate interests of Russian citizens. The author argues for the idea that the system of objects of public control, stipulated by law, should include the activities, acts and decisions of branches and representative offices of international non-governmental organizations. The paper formalizes and explores the main modern problems that hinder the organization and implementation of public control over branches and representative offices of international non-governmental organizations. The author devises a system of proposals and recommendations for solving the above-mentioned problems, including by introducing amendments and additions to the Constitution of the Russian Federation and the current legislation.
