Diversifying investment in the Moscow region: intraregional labor migration

The analysis of the labor resources in the Moscow region demonstrates that there is a disproportion in volume features and background structure of human resources in municipalities. Therefore, intraregional migration should be a tool for balancing the labor market, reducing the organizational and management risks in the investment activity. Comparison of growth in the investment activity in areas within the Moscow region and assessment of trends in labor market reveals direct dependence of the growth demands in workforce on the economic activity. The author discusses the mechanism for enhancing the investment activity in the region based on the intraregional labor migration.
