Objective: to evaluate the General level of awareness among oncologists in the field of gerontology. Materials and methods. We used the methods of personalized questionnaires, statistical data processing using the methods of determining reliability (correlation coefficient, average error), analytical method. Results. As a result of the study the authors developed the structural-functional model of postgraduate teaching of gerontology and geriatrics for specialists of oncology service. The conclusions. The general level of awareness among Oncology services professionals in the field of gerontology and geriatrics is quite low. Geriatric practical knowledge is an important factor in the clinical choice of the individual program of cancer care.
