The article describes the methodological system of teaching writing essays in non-traditional forms based on works of fiction in primary school. The author substantiates the advisability of including these types of creative written works in the content of lessons on the development of speech, which consists in developing the skills of interpreting information and retelling, as well as in the formation of hermeneutic skills in text analysis necessary for intertextual analysis when writing a final essay in grade 11.
