Teaching design activities in English of future engineers in higher education institution

The strategic aim of modern vocational education is to establish the real competence of students to ensure their competitiveness in the labor market. Federal state educational and professional standards of engineering education denote the design activity as one of the types of professional activity for which graduates - bachelors were preparing. The article discusses the experience of using the project method in classroom classes in English with students of the Faculty of Engineering of the Vologda State Dairy Farming Academy named after N. V. Vereshchagin”. The results of students’ performing individual control tasks, that showed the acquisition of vocabulary on the topic of the project and its active use in speech, are presented.
