Training of trainees of the vocational training center to make quick decisions as a means of preparing for action in extreme conditions

The article examines the theoretical aspects of teaching students of VocationalTraining Centers to make quick decisions as an organized purposeful process of transferring andassimilating knowledge, skills and abilities to choose the best course of action from severalpossible ones to achieve the desired goal in the shortest possible time. The stages of decision-making, the factors influencing the decision-making process and its outcome are described indetail. The practical part of the article presents the most typical methods of teaching decision-making for pedagogical practice, which can be used in educational work. Training techniquesaimed at the formation and development of students’ skills and abilities required to carry outdecision-making actions in typical, as well as rapidly changing and extreme conditions are alsoconsidered. The acquired knowledge, skills and abilities will be useful to students in their furtherprofessional activities, including, if necessary, performing official tasks in extreme conditions.The materials of the article will be useful to heads of departments, employees engaged in mentoringactivities, teachers and students of Vocational Training Centers, as well as employees engaged inself-development and professional self-improvement.
