Teaching social dance as a method of auditory inclusion into social and cultural life of society

This article assesses the issue of social dance methods’ application to foster active involvement of various types of target audience into the social and cultural process in Russia. It is noted that social pair dances can act as a method of comprehensively resolving issues and improving the situation in a number of key areas of state policy, since social dances stimulate people to lead a normal, active and socially adapted lifestyle. To substantiate the findings of the article, current data on the level of social dance importance to different social groups (young people, old people, people with disabilities) are presented based on the author’s practical experience. The research concludes that a wider implementation of social dance teaching projects is vital for contemporary Russian society
