The paper is devoted to the problem of teaching primary school students with dyslexia reading in English and considers the influence of this disorder on learning. The paper describes pedagogical approaches to teaching children with dyslexia, points out the need for individualization of teaching methods, task-oriented adaptation of teaching materials and integration of various educational technologies. The study is based on psychological and pedagogical data, which indicate the specific difficulties that children with dyslexia experience. The methodology of the study includes an analysis of existing didactic approaches to teaching children reading. The paper proposes the development of an effective methodological model that will contribute to improving reading skills of children with dyslexia. The paper offers recommendations for teachers working with such children. These recommendations are aimed at organizing the correction and development work, which will help to create a more effective methodological model of teaching children reading in English lessons.
