The article considers the possibility of applying custom in the labor law of the Russian Federation, the possibility of applying custom to legal relations arising in the labor process. The analysis of the possibility of using the custom in the Soviet period and in modern conditions is carried out. The positions of scientists on the possibility of using custom in Russian labor law as a source of law, its relevance and the consolidation of the rule of its existence in the Labor Code of the Russian Federation are analyzed. Examples of the application of labor law custom in the relationship between an employee and an employer are considered. The advantages and disadvantages of the use of custom in labor relations are analyzed.
