An overview of approaches to understanding "Friend and Foe" in Kyrgyz and English linguistic and cultural practice

This study is devoted to a comparative analysis of the concepts of "friend" and "stranger" in Kyrgyz and English linguoculture. The aim of the work is to identify the peculiarities of the representation of these concepts in the language, folklore and social practice of both cultures. Using the methods of corpus analysis, cognitive linguistics, ethnographic observation, and sociolinguistic surveys, it explores how differences in collectivist and individualistic cultures affect the perception and use of these concepts. Special attention is paid to the role of proverbs and sayings as a reflection of the mental and social attitudes associated with the category of "friend or foe".
