Review of preventive activities of the state autonomous healthcare institution "Republican Addiction Treatment Center"

The article reviews the directions and activities for primary prevention of drugrelated disorders among the population of the Republic of Buryatia. The preventive activities of specialists from the Republican Addiction Treatment Center in preventing the outbreak of drug-related disorders during the pandemic associated with the spread of coronavirus infection are described. The comprehensive work of the Treatment Center included educating the population through lectures, seminars, interagency interaction, providing methodological assistance to doctors, teachers, psychologists, and other specialists working in the field of drug abuse prevention. This work has had positive results in reducing the number of people abusing alcohol and psychoactive substances. Such work should especially be carried out in educational institutions. The volunteer movement, in which students of the Radnaev Republican Basic Medical College actively participate, plays a decisive role in this direction. It is also crucial to emphasize the importance of informational work.
