Assessment of readiness of college teachers for research

Steps of professional formation of teachers, the level of their readiness for research activity and abilities of the modern college teacher are considered. The experimental work results to monitor the dynamics of readiness for innovation and research is presented. Also, comparative analysis results of the readiness of teachers to innovative activity have revealed the dynamics of positive changes of teacher’s research skills at college who participated in the pilot training. Personally oriented system of professional development of teachers as a factor its professional formation is instrumental in providing an urge for scientific research of the teachers who realized need of research for the solution of professional tasks. On the other hand, it shall put the teachers of college not ready to change of the professional activity in a situation of emotional and intellectual pressure, understanding of contradictions in the work, in the situation inducing to a reflection, reassessment of the valuable orientations.
